Here is a fun activity for all the artists out there!
There is a fad or hobby nowadays of making and trading, around the world, original artwork on cardstock or watercolor paper that is exactly 2.5 by 3.5 inches in size. Well, a Catholic blogging-type mom has sponsored one or two ATC (Artist Trading Cards) swaps for Catholic kids (and moms, dads, whoever...). She has announced themes, such as the Marian ATC swap last spring, and now has another swap underway with a SAINTS theme. Basically, you create five original works of art on this theme, on little cards exactly the size above (I am pretty sure you can buy a package of pre-cut, blank Artist Trading Cards at a craft store), and get them in the mail to Kimberlee who creates the "Pondered in My Heart" blog. She will then send five other cards back to you from among those she receives. Kinda fun! But you have to get them in the mail to her by November 5!
