Hi All,
Can we move September's Liturgical Activities to either September 15th or the following Thursday, the 22nd? It's possible that we may be leaving for our mini family vacation on the eighth. Is this okay with everyone and which date do you prefer, Stacey, since it's in your barn? Stay tuned because I'll be posting some simple materials the kids will need to do the study/project/activity.

Field Trips
Hi Ladies, It was so great to see everyone. I wish I didn't have to scoot out so soon but there you have it!
I will schedule the Botanical Gardens for Sept 23, 10am. I figure that will give everyone plenty of time to get there and we can bring lunch and have lunch after the tour. I do need a firm number for the group rate and they ask 1 person approach check in with one form of payment. So I'll collect monies or pay be check the day of and you all can pay me. Again, it's 9/adult, 4/children, kids under three are free. They will have printouts for scavenger hunts etc at the desk for us when we arrive.
So let me know the count. Thanks!
The Littlefield Schoolhouse will be September 30th or October fourteen, we could do it in the morning if that suits more people and have potluck lunch at my house after or in the afternoon with snacks after. I'll let you know the cost as soon as I find out but it wont (shouldn't) be much. Some good prep reading for what a one room schoolhouse and day would have been like would be, of course, any of the Little House and/or Anne of Avonlea books. Any other book ideas? I'll do some research on Littlefield school and try to put together a brief history to forward to everybody.
Lisa, will we have a liturgical gathering Sept 8? I'm game. Just let me know what I can do other than put our tables up. If it's nice out I could put them outside if that works too.
God Bless you all as you begin your school year!
I'll be out of town 8/27-9/3

Val Status
Hi Everyone,
Val wanted folks to know that she is off line for the time being because they're having trouble with their computer. In addition, she will not be homeschooling this year and wants to share the process that lead to that decision with us. I think she plans to be at the planning meeting. Let's keep one another in prayer through the intercession of St. Margaret as we gear up for another school year. Can't wait to see you all on a regular basis again.

Summer Field Trip
This is more a plug for Digby and how talented he is versus information about a field trip BUT if you want a summers end educational field trip and haven't been to the Botanical Gardens recently (I've never been but will make the trip before school officially starts) now is the time! Digby just intalled his dragonfly piece yesterday and it looks amazing if I do say so myself!
Hope you all are having a great summer and getting lots of rest. Ha. Congratulations to Allison and John for finishing their house and moving in which takes place this week I think. Enjoy the newness. Four years into our new house proves that fresh shiny feeling doesn't last long! Is it ever really fresh and shiny? I'm certain I'm mentally ill now because the other day I was looking forward to school starting. See you all in the not to distant future. Have a marvellous end of summer.
