Next Week's Meeting

Hi everyone!  I just noticed that our meeting is scheduled for Mardi Gras.  This is usually a big family dinner for us--we even sometimes go to a party or have a party here!!  So I will either miss the meeting (menopause is the topic) or we could postpone it for a week.  Please discuss so we can come to a consensus about it.  XXXOOO Allison

Please, no facebook or cyber links to prayers for my friend. She is keeping this quiet in her professional community. I should have mentioned that but honestly, I didn't think of it. I can't see any of us randomly requesting prayers from folks we don't know but I guess it happens in some circles.

maine state museum

Hi,
Is anyone interested in tacking on a guided tour of the State Museum after the State House on 3/16? I was thinking we could break for lunch and have a tour at 12:30. It would make for a long day; but it could be fun.

Prayers needed

Please pray for my very good friend who has been recently diagnosed with brain aneurysms (I just found out about the multiple part). She has also been found to have and undetermined mass in another part of her brain which could be nothing, or it could be a tumor with brain as primary site or secondary site, or it could be swelling from the aneurysms.

Please, please remember her in your prayers. I'm just praying for it all to go away. She is going to Boston for further evaluation.

Saint Valentine's

Hi everyone,

Here is what I have:

Pink, red, white construction paper
glue sticks
glitter
ribbon
crayons
markers
angle and flower wall paper strips

Here is what you might want to bring:
more scissors
doilies
glue sticks
any angel pics etc from catalogues

Janine and I will precut hearts for little ones so we move things along w/o the kids getting too bogged down.

Lisa, are you coming? You do such a great job presenting....no pressure. I have a Saint Valentines children's book and a prayer card from you, Lisa, that I'll leave in the barn if you don't feel up to pulling anything else together. Any mom's want to take dibs on that portion if Lisa wants a break? I'll make 24 cupcakes and will get paper plates, bowls and cups for water and snacks.

I'd really like to hold off on snacks until after presenting and Valentine making so let's not put stuff out until after the kids have done their work to give them a fair shake to listen and focus. It just seems to invite chaos for the kids to eat while they try to listen and do. This is my orderly side taking hold! There it is!

State House Field Trip

Hi everyone,

I'm about to confirm our numbers for this trip. You need to read about the state house screening prior to entering the building, arrival times etc.See the link below.

We are scheduled for March 16 10am and should arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 for the screening before our tour. I suggest we meet right at the building and leave our things in the car.

I'll be calling to see if we can meet with the Governor and I think there will probably be a session in progress on that day for us to pop in on with our guide. The March Schedule isn't up yet but if it's like last year then we should be good. You might want to check back and see what they are debating to give the kids a heads up.
